Hello and welcome to my blog about model building and model building kits. My name is James Owens and I am a huge collector of models. I am 25 and live in Virginia. I was born and raised here. I come from a family with 5 kids who were all very involved in the community and school. It always kept us busy and on the go. But through all the businesses my dad always found time to spend individual time with each child doing their choice of activity. I always chose to find a new model to make. Every since I can remember, these models fascinated me. Me and my dad would spend time finding the newest model and putting it together. These were always my favorite ones, the ones I made with my dad. Now that I am older I have hundreds of models, but I still keep those specific ones close. After growing up and graduating, I moved out and worked at a local construction company. I worked there for 3 years, eventually making it up higher in the company. Now, I get to help build their models of the buildings they are planning and making lay outs. This was always my dream job growing up, so I am very fortunate to have landed this job.
I am now married with a little boy and one on the way. On the side of my real job, I still love to find new models to build and sale some of my older collectibles. I now share that special bond I once shared with my dad with my son, as we build our model building kits together. I love to share my experience and all the information I have about my models. I hope that this blog can provide a little help and give advice that will be useful to your building adventures.
